I am very happy with this cake, I love it (and so did my 3 year old, he kept talking about the "bumble bee cake"). I couldn't decide on the cake topper, so I made two (and let the shower hostess decide). I made the bee hive but then thought the cookie might be cuter. I'm working on getting a "fondant" look out of buttercream icing, I thought this icing turned out pretty smooth.
Again, tier 1 is 3 layers of golden yellow and buttercream icing. Tier 1 is two layers, with buttercream filling.
