Here is my first attempt at a train cake. As I pulled the top portion of the cake pan off, it sunk. So (in a bit of a time crunch) I decided to cut the cake in half and lay it flat. It was also before I started using my current buttercream icing (I use less butter and added crisco) which is much firmer.
